It all started in a shed at the bottom of my Grandma's garden in Bolton. With a love for Bob, Leonard and Joni, I started writing songs and serenading the spiders.

Also one of my YouTube piano covers, Nick Cave's 'The Ship Song', landed as a sync in the beautiful Australian movie Blueback. Strange little ripples from quiet beginnings!

After many twists and turns, the road led me from the north country to London, where I met television composer Richard Spiller, who offered to help record my songs.

Alongside the gigging I was recording and uploading songs to YouTube. One of these, a cover version of Jackson C. Frank's 'Blues Run the Game', somehow found its way to being used as a featured song in an episode of the Emmy award winning US drama: This is Us.

I ventured out and tried my hand at busking, which led to me playing open mic nights around Manchester, meeting some amazing musical folk and friends.

We worked with an incredible bunch of musicians, friends new and old, from Manchester to Nashville, and I'm excited to share these songs on As a Child with you later this year!

Together, and with the help of your generous contributions to my Go Fund Me, we recorded my debut album 'As a Child'

I ventured further and was featured at busking festivals across Europe, and then won a place on a writing mentorship with the incredibly lovely Beth Orton, and went on to play the Rising Stage at the Green Man Festival.
